On the top map, there is the asian population in the United States. As we can expect, the Asian population is the highest in the South West of the United States. This is probably due to what happened over the past 100 years. A lot of Asian immigrants moved from Asia to the United States. The closest distance from Asia to the United States is obviously in the west coast. The Asians thought that the best place to live in the West is in California. This is why there is such a high concentration of Asians in this states.
On the bottom map, there is a map about the Black population in the United States. As we all know, there is a huge amount of black population for the past hundreds of years in the South of the US, actually since the beginning of the United States when slavery was abolished. However, after all the wars and racism in the South, some of that population moved towards the North.
For the other race, we can see that it is highly populated in the South west and the west coast. We can easily imagine that this other race population represents mainly the Hispanic population in the United States. The South and Southwest of the US is closest to Mexico and South America and this why the Hispanic population tend to go to California and other states in the South such as Florida or Texas.
